My time with the Murray State University Speech and Debate Union sharpened my skills in critical thinking and public speaking, fueling my passion for helping others find their voice.

My Story
I grew up in public schools as the son of a Family Resource Coordinator, often volunteering alongside my mother. Through these experiences, I witnessed how much families relied on the National School Lunch Program, as well as the challenges faced by those who felt embarrassed to use it or narrowly missed qualifying. I saw the profound impact that accessible resources and compassionate advocacy could have on a community, and these moments shaped my commitment to social justice.
Inspired by these experiences, I pursued opportunities to make a difference through education and communication. From coaching middle school speech teams to contributing at WKMS radio, I’ve worked to amplify voices and foster understanding. Whether it’s addressing policy gaps or sparking dialogue, I’m passionate about creating equitable solutions that empower families and individuals to thrive.
